My sister had another job - plan the Disney day. She chanced upon the .sg for Tokyo Disney Resort advertising a limited offer of a passport that guarantees admission and last minute decision of the park to visit. The original plan was to locate the Disney store in Osaka and purchase the passports first in order to maximize our time playing instead of queuing, but there is still the risk of the plan failing, maybe for reasons like we couldn't find the shop, despite it being in a building with a gigantic, obvious ferris wheel, so she thought it was a better to purchase in Singapore first.
A check with JTB revealed that the passports are going for a flat rate of S$98. Now, this wasn't in our favor, after we had already changed our money at a better rate, meaning it would cost us only S$91 if we got it in Japan. JTB ah, why don't they sell it in yen like the JR pass??
I was in favor of purchase in Japan because I wasn't worried about being denied entry due to crowd, since we were going on a Thursday and we would be there before the gates open. Moreover, we would have an extra Y5800 each to spend, since the Disney passports were already factored into the budget. And I was pretty confident of finding the Disney store in Osaka.
The planner preferred purchasing in Singapore in case somehow we didn't manage to buy the passports in Osaka, or somehow we still didn't manage to enter the park despite being 30min early. And it is an open ticket with guaranteed entry, which isn't the norm.
Ok, for S$7 for a peace of mind.
The planner has studied the rides, made a list of to-ride and mapped a route. Great job! I really know nothing this time! 靠她了!
